Chain Driven Live Roller

Chain Driven Live Roller conveyors are primarily used as a transportation system, where the system requires more power or speed to transport product than Lineshaft. The system is designed to transport products that have flat and rigid bases with weights that do not exceed 50 kg per metre (U.D.L – uniformed distributed load), and having an overall length greater then 160mm. Products generally transported by Chain Driven Live Roller conveyors are boxes, cartons , containers and trays.

The Chain Drive Live Roller system is powered via drive bands from a sprocket/pulley mechanism driven by a continuous underlying chain. Drive is transferred from a single driven roller via jump bands to adjacent rollers. The component configuration used in Chain Driven Live Roller is identical to that of Zero Pressure Accumulation conveyors (Z.P.A), therefore C.D.L.R may be often installed with a view to converting the system to Z.P.A in the future.

Con-tec C.D.L.R conveying systems can be designed to individual requirements from the following product range.

  • Straight beds Drive / Slave at standard lengths of 1200,1800,2400,3000 other lengths are available based on increments of 75mm.

  • Curve beds Drive / Slave at 33.75, 45, 56.25, 90, 180 deg Merge beds Slave at 33.75, 45, 56.25, 90 deg
